In 2011, Conrad Murray was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 death of Michael Jackson. Even at that time, not only were some questioning whether or not he deserved the jail time, but according to an article in the Los Angeles Times, it was predicted that Murray would probably be released from prison early, especially if the Los Angeles County Jail he was staying in reached capacity.
Well, they were right. Conrad Murray will get out of jail in October according to Radar Online, after only serving less than two years of his four-year sentence. But he’s not getting out early just because of overcrowding, but also because of good behavior. According to Radar, if he acts right in the next three months, nothing should stop him from walking out of the Los Angeles County Jail on October 28. And while we’re sure Murray is ecstatic about this news, reportedly, the late King of Pop’s mother, Katherine Jackson, is particularly hurt by the news, as is the whole family.
In a scoop picked up by the UK’s Daily Mirror, a source close to the family says they’re pissed and feel he should serve the full time for his crime:
“Murray is the killer of Michael in their eyes. He cost them their son and father.
For him to get out in two years is an insult. They [the Jackson family] still feel he should have been tried for murder.”
