DJ Mister Cee was busted last spring for trying to pick up a male prostitute.
Maybe he should change his name to Mister Cee-ya!
Hot 97 star DJ Calvin “Mister Cee” Lebrun abruptly resigned from the hip-hop radio station Wednesday during his morning show several hours after a video was posted of him allegedly soliciting sex from a popular cross-dressing video-blogger named Bimbo Winehouse.
“The day has finally come for Mr. Cee to move on,” the long-time radio personality said.
“Due to some personal circumstances that have become public, after 20 years of service, Mr Cee has chosen to resign,” Hot 97 general manager Alexandra Cameron said in a statement.

DJ Mister Cee said he was leaving his job ‘due to some personal circumstances.’
In the video, Winehouse said he was dressed in drag and turned on his phone after he was picked up off the street by a man he claims is Lebrun. The pair drive around and negotiate prices for sex before the man drops Winehouse off on the street without anything happening.
The cross-dresser said he filmed the video “about a week or two ago.”
“We feel that this is in the best interest of both HOT 97 and Cee’s personal well-being. While we do not endorse the alleged activities, he is clearly facing a personal dilemma that is for him and only him to comment on,” said Cameron in the statement.
Lebrun, best known for introducing the world to huge hip-hop acts like Notorious B.I.G. and deejaying his “Throwback At Noon” show, denied being gay during an interview with the radio station’s program director Ebro Darden last May – just a week after he was arrest for allegedly soliciting an undercover police officer who was posing as a prostitute.

“It is not a mystery that the past two years I’ve been through a lot,” he said on the air Wednesday when announcing his resignation.
“When you dealing with corporate America, and you dealing with a station you love as much as I love this station, you don’t want to put them through this … I’ve been thinking about this day for a long time. I never want to be in a situation where I’m pushed out. I’ve been at this station for 20 years, since 1993. If I want to go out, allow me to say I’m going out. And the station is allowing me to have that, and I appreciate that,” he said.
“Ain’t nobody perfect man,” he said. “And I’m far from perfect. I’ve made my mistakes, but when it affects the people that you love, the people that you come up with … I’m just gonna move on.”
Lebrun’s run-in with a vice-cop last spring was his third bust in two years. In March 2011, he was busted when police caught him receiving oral sex from a cross-dressing prostitute in a car.
He had already pleaded guilty to after he was caught in a similar act just six months earlier.
